We have an important hearing on dropout prevention and recovery for which we need to generate as big a turn out as possible to persuade legislators to prioritize the issue this year! Please come and bring colleagues and/or youth for any portion of the hearing you can attend.
When: Tuesday, October 8, 10 am - 2 pm
Where: MA State House, Gardner Auditorium
1. Attend the hearing. Please email Katie Bright and let us know how many people you plan to bring and whether you will submit written testimony.
2. Submit written testimony. The Alliance can submit it for you if you send it to Katie by Thursday October 3. You can also submit your testimony directly to Nathanael Shea and Angela Brooks in Senator Sonia Chang-Diaz’s office: Nathanael.Shea@masenate.gov, Angela.Brooks@masenate.gov.
The hearing is our big chance this year to show up and demand that MA public schools expect success from parenting students and provide the supports they need to succeed!
For questions about the hearing and testimony, please contact Katie Bright at firstname.lastname@example.org, 617.482.9122 x107.
