Ellen serves as the Policy Intern at Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy. She joined the Alliance in September 2016 and will be with us through May of 2017. Ellen graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas, where she worked at a homeless resource center and interned with a non-profit providing nutrition and exercise classes to low income residents. Ellen is currently studying at Boston University, pursuing a dual master’s degree in Social Work and Public Health. She has project development and program management experience, working with a variety of non-profits aimed at decreasing health disparities. At the Alliance, Ellen will conduct advocacy trainings with community providers and youth, and will support with the coordination of the Alliance’s annual Teen Parent Lobby Day event.
